On June 7, 2016, SLF brought a putative class action lawsuit on behalf of armed security guards working at an international security company that did not reimburse them for necessary business expenses, such as the cost of their firearms, bulletproof vests, holsters and ammunitions. The lawsuit also claims that the security company failed to pay its armed security guards for the time it took them to put on and take off their uniform and gear, and in doing so, denied them minimum wage and overtime pay.
