On September 9. 2020, SLF brought a putative class action lawsuit on behalf of a group of healthcare professionals, including nurses, working for FlexCare, a staffing company. Among other things, the lawsuit alleges that the company fails to pay its employees daily overtime, fails to compensate them at all when they’re “flexed-off” work due to low-census at their assigned hospitals, and does not provide them with proper meal or rest breaks, as required under California law.
